The Sportz SUV Tent with Screen Room provides ample room for 5 or 6 people. The tent measures 10’x10’ and the additional screened room adds another 7’x6’ of space. The rainfly extends into an awning to provide added protection from the sun. These tents allow campers to incorporate vehicles into the sleeping area or just make it convenient to access supplies.
The Sportz X-Treme PAC consists of a 7.5’x 6.5’ geodesic dome tent, rain fly, 2 mummy sleeping bags and 2 collapsible stools in one waterproof carrying bag. The rainfly completely covers and protects the tent from the elements, yet has a vinyl window for light. The tent is roomy enough for 2 people to sleep comfortably and contains a gear loft and 3 pockets for storage.
The Sportz Dome-to-Go tent is designed to be attached to a number of hatchbacked vehicles or station wagons. The tent measures 8’x 8’ and can be free standing without a vehicle. The extra long rain fly ensures adequate protection from the rain and wind. The fly can also be extended as an awning. The tents are made with tub floor and sealed seams to resist moisture contamination.
The Sportz Truck Tent III is designed for compact trucks with long beds. The unit turns the truck bed and tailgate into a sleeping/living area. The rain fly extends outward to form an awning. Campers can sleep in an elevated environment with the same protection provided by a conventional tent. The tent attaches to a variety of Chevy, Jeep, Ford, Mazda, Nissan and GMC pick ups.
The Sportz X-Plorer PAC measures 8.3’x4.5’ and comes equipped with a fly, sleeping bag and portable stool. The waterproof carrying bag has adjustable straps to fit onto a motorcycle or ATV. The tub floor and rain fly are seam sealed to ensure adequate moisture protection. The fly completely covers the tent and extends into a vestibule to store baggage or gear.
The Sportz Company
The Sportz Company manufactures a number of styles and designs of camping tents that fit many vehicles. The tents are made with a special sleeve that encompasses the rear end of hatchbacks, station wagons, SUV’s or pickups. Sportz also makes specialized tents to turn a truck bed into a bivy. Their PAC units supply everything a biker needs in one simple bag.
Sportz also carries air mattresses, long rainflys, traveler’s bags and sportz straps to protect vehicles while attaching a tent. The air mattresses are designed to be used in an SUV or pick up. The longer rainflys completely cover and protect tents but can be unzipped for ventilation or to extend as an awning.
History of Sportz
Roman Napieraj founded Napier Enterprises in 1990 when suffering from allergies on a camping trip caused him to realize a need for versatile camping. Starting out with a tarp draped over a pick-up, Roman devised various ways to incorporate a vehicle into a camping experience. The company now works with auto manufacturers like GM, Ford, Nissan, Honda, Kia, Mercedes and Toyota, to name a few. Working with individual automakers ensures a product especially designed to fit a particular vehicle.
